Bloodmates is more than a blood donation initiative. It is a community movement dedicated to connecting voluntary donors with people in urgent need of blood. The mission is simple and powerful: no one should lose their life because blood was unavailable at the right time.

Hospitals depend on blood for accident victims, major surgeries, cancer treatment, thalassemia care, and maternal emergencies. Because blood cannot be manufactured in a laboratory, every donation depends on human generosity. Bloodmates transforms that generosity into organized support.

Blood Support Policy

Who can request support from Bloodmates

Bloodmates clearly communicates that support is not open to everyone automatically. The policy is designed to reward participation, responsibility, and long-term community contribution.

Eligibility overview

  • You donated for a Bloodmates patient at least once within the previous 365 days.
  • You may be unable to donate personally, but your office, club, housing society, or organization conducted at least one camp with Bloodmates within the previous 365 days.
  • You must complete the mandatory blood insurance form in advance.
  • Newly participating donors become eligible for donor support 60 days after form submission and donation.

১) ব্লাডমেটস কি সবাইকে রক্তদাতা দেয়?

না।

২) তাহলে কাকে দেয়? বা কে ব্লাডমেটসের থেকে রক্ত চাইতে পারেন

দুই ধরনের মানুষ। ক) যাঁরা যেদিন রক্ত চাওয়া হচ্ছে, তাঁরা আগের ৩৬৫ দিনের মধ্যে অন্তত একবার ব্লাডমেটসের হয়ে কোনও রোগীর জন্য রক্ত দিয়েছেন। খ) নিজে রক্ত দিতে না পারলেও নিজের অফিস, আবাসন, ক্লাব, সংগঠন ইত্যাদির সঙ্গে অন্তত একটি ক্যাম্প করেছেন ওই ৩৬৫ দিনের মধ্যে। এর পাশাপাশি ‘রক্তবিমা’ ফর্মটি ফিল আপ করা বাধ্যতামূলক।

৩) করোনার সময় বা অনেক বছর আগে ব্লাডমেটসের সঙ্গে কাজ করলে এখন কি রক্ত চাওয়া যাবে?

না। উপরের ৩৬৫ দিনের শর্ত প্রযোজ্য।

৪) আমি রক্তদানে ইচ্ছুক, কিন্তু অনেক দিন ধরে ফোন যাচ্ছে না। কী করব?

রক্তবিমার ফর্মটি ফিল আপ করে রাখুন। তাহলে যোগাযোগ করা সহজ হবে।

৫) আমি নিজে রক্ত দিতে অক্ষম, কিন্তু ভবিষ্যতে হেল্প লাগতে পারে। কী করব?

অফিস, রাজনৈতিক বা সামাজিক সংগঠন, ক্লাব, বা এলাকার মানুষদের নিয়ে বছরে অন্তত একটি ক্যাম্প করুন। তাহলেই ব্লাডমেটসের থেকে সাহায্য চাওয়ার যোগ্যতা তৈরি হবে।

৬) আমি নিজে ডোনেট করেছি বা ক্যাম্প করেছি। আমি কি যে কোনও কারও জন্য ব্লাড চাইতে পারি?

না। রক্তবিমার ফর্মে আগেই পরিবারের যাঁদের জন্য ভবিষ্যতে ব্লাড চাইতে পারেন, তাঁদের নাম, সম্পর্ক ও ফোন নম্বর দিয়ে রাখতে হবে। প্রয়োজন হলে সেই তালিকাভুক্ত পরিবারের সদস্যের জন্যই ব্লাড চাওয়া যাবে।

৭) রক্তবিমার ফর্ম ফিল আপ করা না থাকলে কি ব্লাড চাওয়া যাবে?

এককথায়, না।

৮) রক্তবিমার ফর্ম ফিল আপ করেছি, কিন্তু এখনও ব্লাডমেটসের হয়ে ব্লাড দেওয়া বা ক্যাম্প করা হয়নি। রক্তদাতা পাব?

না পাবেন না।

৯) অন্য সংগঠনের হয়ে রক্তদান করেছি। তাহলে কি ব্লাডমেটসের থেকে রক্তদাতা পাব?

না। যাদের হয়ে রক্তদান করেছেন, তাঁদের কাছেই চাইতে হবে। ক্যাম্প সংগঠিত যারা করবে, ডোনারও তাদেরই দিতে হবে।

১০) ব্লাডমেটসের সঙ্গে ক্যাম্প মানে কি তাদের বলা ব্লাডব্যাংকের সঙ্গেই ক্যাম্প করতে হবে?

না। কবে, কোথায়, এবং কোন ব্লাড ব্যাংকের সঙ্গে ক্যাম্প হবে, সেটা আয়োজকরাই ঠিক করবেন। ব্লাডমেটস এই সিদ্ধান্তে হস্তক্ষেপ করে না।

১১) এখনই ডোনার লাগবে। আগে ব্লাডমেটসের হয়ে ব্লাড দিইনি বা ক্যাম্প করিনি। এখন ডোনেট করলে এখনই ডোনার পাব?

না। ফর্ম ফিল আপ করে ডোনেট করার ৬০ দিন পর থেকে ডোনার পাওয়ার জন্য এলিজিবল হবেন।

১২) আমরা তো নিজেরাই ব্লাডক্যাম্প করি। তাহলে ব্লাডমেটসের সঙ্গে কেন করব?

কারণ অনেক হাসপাতাল শুধু ক্যাম্পের কার্ড নেয় না, ডোনার চায়। ব্লাডমেটস পশ্চিমবঙ্গের যে কোনও প্রান্তে ডোনার দিতে সাহায্য করতে পারে। এই কারণেই ব্লাডমেটসের সঙ্গে ক্যাম্প করা লাভজনক।
